Chemical Sales Representative- Food Industry

NEI Herrin, IL , United States is hiring a high-performing sales professional to build sales with extreme market potential. NEI is a privately held manufacturer and exporter of Tricalcium Phosphates (Tribasic, Calcium Salts, Hydroxyapatite). Position Summary

  • Guide new business growth through prospecting in a global market newly influenced by US Tariffs with explosive upside
  • Manage new product line introduction within existing customers
  • Build customer relationships on unique solutioning developed by our R& D Team, market trends and account-based discoveries
  • Build lasting partnerships with customers based on trust, fair pricing and quality
  • Strong emphasis on selling products which potentially reduce customer’s manufacturing cost, improve product quality and grow margins
  • Represent NEI Brand to market as responsibly sourced, 100% American Made and natural products
  • New hire receives thorough product training and mentoring to enable success spending the first two weeks onsite at NEI; ongoing team communication
  • Outstanding R&D, and technical teams to support selling opportunities and account management

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred; will consider Associates or Technical Degree with appropriate work experience
  • 5+ years of industrial sales success, preferably in food ingredient sales
  • Proven effectiveness in prospecting, delivering effective presentations and closing new projects
  • Proven effectiveness in building and managing long-term customer relationships
  • Vision- able to identify new or existing customer needs and develop appropriate product solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to manage your time and resources
  • High achievement orientation; driven to perform and grow
  • Professionally developed sales and territory management skills
  • Experience with CRM software i.e. SalesForce
  • Computer, communication and technical aptitude/ ability absolutely required


  • Able to travel domestically if needed with up to 30% overnight travel
  • Physically able to tour customer production facilities for process observation and customer meetings as needed
  • You must possess a valid driver’s license & clean driving record
  • Able to work independently or with a team communicating effectively with all stakeholders
  • Background and reference checks will be conducted
  • Drug-free work place
